Place branding

Mansfield is a major market town in the heart of the East Midlands. And it’s got a major perception problem. Like many former industrial hubs, it’s struggled to attract enough investment, tourism and talent to drive sustained growth.

In 2023, Mansfield was allocated £12.3m from the government’s Towns Fund to invest in much-needed development and regeneration. To raise awareness of these projects – and build excitement about the future – Mansfield District Council asked my team to develop a bold new brand identity and narrative for the town.
